Shooting Tips 101

Shooting Tips 101

I recommend that after a shoot, you reset your camera setting so that when you pick up the camera again, you will at least have a better chance of getting a good image, even if you don’t have time to review you settings.

Basic check

If you have time before you start shooting check the following items.

· Check ISO, use a higher ISO 800 and above for night shooting or low light, remember to turn on noise reduction for long exposures.

· Take a test shot using program mode for meter reading which you can use to set the aperture, then go back to Aperture Priory and use the reading you obtained.

· Check exposure compensation, set for low light or high light levels these levels will require some compensation.

· Check White Balance
Use a preset or better yet shot a custom WB with a grey card.

· Shooting mode, Single for static objects or continuous for action shots.

If you remember to do this you will have improved pictures.

Happy Shooting !
